The human being is mind, body and spirit.

It is prudent to reason that, often in the midst of busy lives, where firefighting with a host of personal and professional issues at the same time is the norm, one tends to forget to account for all three, instead gratifying just one, or at the most two facets, neglecting one or the other, again often at the same time.

As more and more people come to realize the harmonious relationship between all three facets of a human being, thanks no doubt in part due to the increasing complexity caused by the flows of bits, electrons, people, goods and services all across the globe, there has been a conscious shift towards adopting healthier habits, especially in the upper-middle and higher class segments.

Disease, stress and lifestyle complications are rampant in the world today, made all the more visible due to their rising awareness in popular culture. At Bangalore Insider, we chose to make a small but significant pledge, of talking about positive stories to uplift other readers who need to listen to them and take inspiration from them.

Today, we spoke to Ms. Priya Kaul, whose mission is to educate one person from each family in spiritual healing. Below are the excerpts from our interaction.

Give a brief info about your startup?

Healing with Priya Kaul is about healings, predictions through various mediums. creating hope and positivity in people’s lives. To make a difference.

What made you start your startup and what problem does it solve?

I started this as I felt a need for spreading positivity through my brand and also it is a means of pursuing my passion which is to heal and to create hope.

Tell us about yourself, your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before this startup?

Before taking the big leap into this humanitarian profession, I have worked with big brands like Convergys and Wipro. My last profession was with my husband in his taxation firm.

Where is your startup based out of? Why do you think that is the best place for you?

I operate my brand out of my home in Indirapuram (NCR). I have always wanted to work from home as this helps me in maintaining a work-life balance. Nothing to beat the feeling of being home around family and at the same time following your passion.

As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?

Well I am not really paranoid about my profession/ work. But I do have a dream in which I see myself as wearing a long white robe and moving with many people following me. Fingers crossed.

Who are your competitors and how are you better than them?

Well I honestly do not believe in competition, I think everyone in this space has got a distinct style of functioning. If you are honest, to your own self and to your followers, then you will succeed irrespective of so called competition. Yes, what differentiates me, I feel, is that I work from my heart. I am true to my work and I take accountability for my work.

How hard is it to have a work-life balance as a startup founder and how do you manage it?

Since I operate out of home, it’s relatively easy for me to maintain work-life balance. I feel my profession is like that of a doctor’s which requires a round-the-clock availability. God is kind and so far I have managed to be successful at that.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about you? Why do they have that? What’s the reality?

People trust me. There is no place for any misconception.

What gets you excited about this company?

What gives me a high is to see smiles on people’s faces and the fact that I am capable of connecting with people.

Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.

Before stepping out of bed in the morning, I do my manifesting ritual and thank God for everything. Stepping out of bed, my day begins with the routine morning chores and again meditation and healing sessions begin. Thereafter I spend some time with my children. Followed by workshops, etc. I do my spells in the evening. Family time. Then at night I connect with people on social media. Once again thank Universe before falling asleep.

Tell us about your team and how did you meet each other?

My team comprises people who have been my clients at some point and who offered to help me because of their unwavering faith in me.
