SQUAREFORK: One stop platform’ for restaurant growth

 

SQUAREFORK is a Delhi based startup founded by Shreya Sabharwal. SQUAREFORK help restaurants and they handle their all type of requirements.

 

My basic motivation behind venturing into this industry was that the F&B industry is the most popular and demanded industry and despite such demanding industry, out of 100 restaurants 80 of them gets shut within two years. So why not help these restaurants to increase their sales and help them to achieve the heights which they planned in the initial step of their openings, says Shreya.

 

We got an opportunity to talk with  Shreya, the founder of the SQUAREFORK.  Read her inspiring story to know about the mission and vision of the organisation.

 

 

Give a brief info about your startup?
Basically, my company SQUAREFORK is a ‘one stop platform’ for restaurant growth. We help restaurants to touch skies by looking after their each and every requirement needed for achieving success. We take care of each and every service required in F&B industry.

What made you start your startup and what problem does it solve?
My basic motivation behind venturing into this industry was that the F&B industry is the most popular and demanded industry and despite such demanding industry, out of 100 restaurants 80 of them gets shut within two years. So why not help these restaurants to increase their sales and help them to achieve the heights which they planned in the initial step of their openings.
Our company takes away all the stress of restaurant owners by taking care of each and every perspective that could become obstacle in their growth process.

 

Tell us about yourself, your previous jobs/ventures? What were you doing before this startup?
Before this startup, I was a student of mass communication and journalism. Also I have worked with companies like FSSAI, Blue Beans, SO Delhi, perfect relations etc.

 

Where is your startup based out of? Why do you think that is the best place for you?
My startup is Delhi based. I think Delhi is the best place for such kinda startup as Delhi is a hub of restaurants and every day the ratio of shutdown of restaurants is more than new openings. When a restaurant opens, it launches with the motive to touch skies and due to lack of guidance it fails badly. Henceforth Delhi is the best place for such venture to work.
 

As a startup founder, what are you paranoid about? What keeps you awake at night?
My only paranoid is meeting fake people, and humans who cannot respect women. My main reason of insomnia is thinking all night about emore and more ways to make a particular restaurant a top brand.
 

Who are your competitions and how are you better than them?
I don’t think I have any competitor as other companies usually believe in catching brands and I believe in making a new restaurant a brand. Moreover, Squarefork provides all services related to F&B and restaurant growth only.
 

How hard is it to have a work-life balance as a startup founder and how do you manage it?
Life is very challenging as it is a startup, and moreover being the only female founder surviving in restaurant industry where main work begins at night is not easy. Every day is a new set of challenge, but yes this is where my passion comes in and I love every bit of my work so I never feel I cannot manage it.

 

 

Have you raised funding? If yes, then we would like to know the details. If no then please tell us if you are looking to raise.
No, I haven’t raised any funding as mine is a bootstrap startup. As of now I don’t have any plans of raising funds, let’s see what happens in future.
 

What’s the biggest misconception people have about you? Why do they have that? What’s the reality?
The biggest misconception about me is that i am too young for this fast pace restaurant industry. But people need to get it clear that age is just a number when passion comes.
 

What gets you excited about this company?
Every day there are so many new restaurants opening up, which gives motivation and enthusiasm to me and my team mates to make the new restaurant a top brand.
 

Tell us how a day in your life looks like? Your schedule for a day right from the time you get up till you hit the bed at night.
As i am at the initial phase of my startup so I hardly know when the clock strikes 10 a.m. and when it goes to 10 p.m. my whole day is full of clients meetings, strategies planning and so on. So for the current moment my whole world revolves around SQUAREFORK.

Tell us about your team and how did you meet each other?
I have a very hardworking and efficient team who works to their best to make my company success. I met each of them through a different platform  some of them contacted me through social media, some through linkedin and we even had college placements too.
